Coaching Job Opportunity in Hong Kong Triathlon Association
The Hong Kong Triathlon Association Limited (“TriHK”) seeks to provide an elite training environment in which triathletes are able to develop their talents to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:
THE JOB: Triathlon Coach (swim specific)
Annual remuneration package ranges from HK$400,000-470,000
The Triathlon Coach will report to the President of TriHK, whilst under the guidance of the National Head Coach. The Triathlon Coach will be responsible for the following duties:
To coordinate, design and implement training programs for elite triathletes in Hong Kong, in particular taking on the lead role in the swim coaching programme,
with a proven ability to implement all technical swimming skills and high performance swimming/triathlon training concepts. Both pool and open water experience are essential;
To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessments and regular evaluations;
To assist TriHK in talent identification, athlete recruitment and comprehensive swimming skills development, and to be able to create systematic opportunities for talent to emerge through related programmes so that the development of Triathlon is enhanced;
To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competition;
To assist in the supervision of assistant and part-time coaches;
To contribute towards the overall development of coach education programmes and the development of more and/or better qualified local triathlon coaches.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Holder of University Degree in sports-related fields, or its equivalent is preferable;
Holder of national level coaching certificates. Has documented swimming coaching and triathlon experience. Has developed swimmers to advanced swimming
performance within the context of pool and elite triathlon swimming performance levels;
A proven record of achievement in coaching Triathlon/Swimming at international level;
Posses a high degree of administrative skills including athlete tracking, all aspects of program management, information processing, computer skills at a professional level
