Asia Triathlon

IRAN Women Duathlon National Championships were held in Isfahan Province on 13 May 2016 with presence of 81 athletes from 13 provinces. The competitions have 4 individual female categories and 4 team events so called “superiors”.

Iran Federation took the initiative in hosting the first female only duathlon championships in the Middle East. Also the championships will place huge impact on developing female athletes in the region.

Results are as following:

Individual Youth women 

• 1st place : Zahra Rezaei from Ghom province 
• 2nd place: Nazpari Basir from Ardebil province 
• 3rd place: Maede Salimi from Isfahan province

Individual Junior women

• 1st place : Zeynab Nourouzi from Zanjan province 
• 2nd place : Sajedeh mougooie from Isfahan province 
• 3rd place : Sahar Savari from Isfahan province

Individual U23 women 

• 1st place : Mozhgan Kavyani from Fars province 
• 2nd place : Sanaz Parhizi from Fars province 
• 3rd place : Saeideh Babapour from Eastern Azarbayjan province

Individual Elite women 

• 1st place : Mandana Dehghan Manshadi from Tehran province 
• 2nd place : Zahra Mirzakhani Afchi from Chaharmahal Bakhtyari province 
• 3rd place : Shokouh Tayareh from Isfahan province

Superior Youth teams: 

• 1st place : Isfahan province 
• 2nd place : Kermanshah province 
• 3rd place : Ghom province

Superior Junior teams: 

• 1st place : Zanjan province 
• 2nd place: Isfahan province 
• 3rd place: Eastern Azarbayjan province

Superior U23 teams: 

• 1st place : Fars province 
• 2nd place: Western Azarbayjan province 
• 3rd place: Isfahan province

Superior Elite teams: 

• 1st place: Tehran province 
