2023 World Cross Duathlon Championships Ibiza - Extended Race Highlights
Diede Diedericks and Sebastien Carabin proved unstoppable as they claimed gold in the elite races and were crowed 2023 Cross Duathlon world champions in San Antonio, all part of the 2023 World Multisport Championships Ibiza. Relive the action, from the race course, which opened with the 5.8km run, which looped through streets and woods before the athletes were sent back out onto the gravel and rocks, then a two-lap 20km bike into the hills combined tarmac climbs with rock-strewn ascents and switchback descents between the pines, the course ending with a 2.5km run to the tape along the San Antonio harbour.

2023 World Duathlon Championships Ibiza: Elite Men’s Highlights
The pace was on from the very first paces of the opening 5km run, three-time world champion Mario Mola (ESP) pulling clear into transition and then biking solo for half the 20km bike before being caught by the large train that had formed behind. Multiple attacks were held at bay before a controlled 2.5km final effort to the tape, edging France’s former champions Benjamin Choquert and Krilan le Bihan into second and third. 2023 World Triathlon Duathlon Championships - Elite Women’s Highlights
32 women lined up for the first Elite action of the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport Championships, eyeing the Duathlon world title in Santa Eulalia. The 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run course was fast and flat and there was no pause for breath as the athletes attacked from the outset. One of the simplest and most accessible forms of multisport, aquathlon consists of two legs, a 1km swim followed by 5km run. Aquathlon is an excellent way for newcomers to enter the world of multisport and for experienced triathletes to add something different to their race routines. The 2023 World Triathlon Multisports Championships (featuring Aquathlon) will be held in Ibiza, Spain, from 29 April - 7 May.

World Triathlon Explainer: Triathlon Mixed Relay
The Triathlon Team Mixed Relay format showcases racing at its most thrilling, where the individual sport combines with pure team spirit to produce fireworks on the blue carpet! All four athletes on a team must complete a super-sprint triathlon - 300m swim, approx 6.6km bike and 1km run - before tagging off to a teammate (for the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle, the order is always male-female-male-female). Among the most exciting aspects of the races for spectators is the athletes’ dramatic sprint and dive after being tagged by their teammate, as well as the intensity and speed from start to finish, with tight, back-and-forth lead changes and team pride the hallmarks of the events.

2022 Winter Triathlon Mixed Relay Andorra
Mixed Relay teams (2x2) in Andorra were the first to compete under the new structure, with the men starting the race and the women crossing the finish line! Daria Rogozina was the first woman to ever break a Tri Mixed Relay finish tape, earning gold for RTF with Pavel Andreev. Silver went to Team Italy, Sandra Mairhofer and Franco Pesavento, while bronze was for the Norwegian team, of Elizabeth Sveum and Hans Christian Tungesvik.
